To enjoy your new garden furniture for a long time, we recommend a few tips and tricks for care.

outdoor furniture from China

Please note that these tips are purely based on experience from our customers and us, and we cannot assume any liability for their application.

Poly rattan garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft brush are sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or high-pressure cleaners.

Simple step:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms.

Garden furniture made of poly rattan usually does not require any complex care. You can easily remove light dirt with water and a cloth or a soft brush. A mild cleaning solution made from water and a household cleaning agent or plastic cleaner can be used if necessary. Special anti-static sprays have proven their worth if there is static electricity, which counteracts this effect and is available in every well-stocked drugstore.

Aluminum garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft brush are sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or high-pressure cleaners.

Area:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms.

Aluminum is relatively easy to care for. However, it should be noted that the surface can be attacked by very high chlorine concentrations or harsh cleaning agents/disinfectants. Therefore, only clean your aluminum furniture with simple soapy water without harsh chemical additives.

304 stainless steel garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

Mild soapy water or commercially available cleaning agents for stainless steel are sufficient!

Area:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms.

Tip: Rub stainless steel with care products or baby oil for the winter.

Even stainless steel requires very little maintenance. Any rust film or minor scratches can be removed with a stainless steel abrasive sponge. In the case of stubborn imprints, plaster stone proves to be the savior in an emergency – so you can quickly get your stainless steel garden furniture clean and free of streaks.

Garden covers care tips:

Cleaning:

Water with mild soap and a soft brush is sufficient.

Care:

Spray on the water with mild soap, rub in, leave to soak in, and rinse off again. Then let it air dry.

Brush off coarse dirt before it settles into the fabric. Spots should be removed with mild, lukewarm soapy water as soon as they appear. Use a soft brush or sponge to do this. Allow the soap solution to soak in for a short time and soak into the tissue. Then make sure that you wash out all the soap residue with clear water. Then let it air dry if possible. Garden covers are resistant to mold growth. However, mold can form on dirt that is not removed. You can wash the removable garden covers in the washing machine on a gentle cycle.

Sun protection and upholstery fabrics care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft cloth are sufficient.

Area:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms. In winter, for example, in the garage or the basement.

Care:

Fabrics and textiles should be re-impregnated from time to time.

Sun protection and upholstery fabrics typically require little care. Dirt can be cleaned with water, a mild soapy solution, and a cloth or sponge. Then let the cover air dry. Some covers can also be removed, and machine washed. Please note the labels on the cover with instructions for washing. Due to the low weight and the large contact surface, parasols are very susceptible to wind. Remember to fold and secure your umbrella in strong winds. Storm damage is not a reason for the complaint.

Bamboo garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft brush are sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or high-pressure cleaners.

Area:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms. In winter, for example, in the garage or the basement.

Care:

You can treat with oil or clear-coat to counteract the process of weathering from time to time.

Completely untreated bamboo will turn silvery gray on the surface after exposure to the elements over time, similar to teak. Many enthusiasts like this look due to the weathering, and the process does not affect the stability. You can also counteract this color change by oiling the bamboo furniture regularly or refinishing it with clear varnish. Our bamboo furniture is already treated with clear varnish by the manufacturer to protect it for the first time. To protect the natural product bamboo from the effects of the weather in the long term, we generally recommend immediate after-treatment with clear varnish. The necessary care products are available in specialized stores or hardware stores.

Polyfiber (rope) care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft sponge are sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or high-pressure cleaners.

Area:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or ventilated rooms.

Polyfiber or Rope is similar to outdoor furniture made of poly rattan when it comes to maintenance. No complex care is necessary. Light soiling can be easily removed with water and a cloth or a soft brush. You can use a mild cleaning solution made from water and a household cleaning agent or plastic cleaner if necessary. Special anti-static sprays have proven their worth if there is static electricity, which counteracts this effect and is available in any well-stocked drugstore.

Teak wood garden furniture care tips:

Teak wood garden furniture care tips

Cleaning:

A mild soapy solution, water, and a soft brush are sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or high-pressure cleaners.

Storage:

Teak garden furniture can be left outside all year round without damaging the wood. The furniture should always be stored in an airy place. The permanent use of a cover hood outdoors is not recommended

Clean the surface with water and a soft brush or cloth. For stubborn stains, you can use a gentle soapy solution. However, please never use abrasive cleaning agents, brushes, or sponges! A silver-gray patina will develop if the garden furniture is left outside all year round. If you don’t like this, you should treat the garden furniture every one or two years with care oil for teak.

Granite care tips:

Cleaning:

Water or a mild detergent with a cloth or sponge is sufficient.

Storage:

Very robust and weather-resistant, so no special storage is necessary.

Granite is a very easy-care material. Water or cleaning solution, rags, or, if necessary, a sponge or brush cannot harm the granite surfaces. Wipe with a dry cloth. However, remove acidic liquids (e.g., fruit juice or vinegar) and oily substances as soon as possible, as these could leave marks.

(Fiber) Concrete garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

A mild cleaning solution with a cloth is sufficient.

Storage:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover.

Care:

Treatment with a protective wax can ensure optimal protection against moisture.

Concrete furniture has a finely polished and sealed surface, easy to clean with soapy water. Abrasive cleaning agents or sponges should not be used to avoid damaging the surface. Colored and greasy-oily liquids (e.g., coffee or oil) should be removed as quickly as possible with a cloth. Significantly acidic liquids should be cleared promptly to prevent attacking the natural stone. The surface can be protected from soiling (staining) by rainwater with a protective wax.

Spray stone garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

Clean Spray stone with a sponge or a soft brush with lukewarm water and a neutral care product. Please make sure that no residues of care products remain on the material.

Storage:

Either in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or protected in the garage or tool shed.

Care:

Optionally, a stone impregnator or sealer can be used to care for the Spray stone tabletops. Such sealers prevent the penetration of dirt and water in the long term.

Spray stone tabletops first look like tabletops made of natural stone and come with a deceptively genuine look and feel. However, such tabletops usually consist of a base plate made of glass, less often aluminum, sprayed with a material mixture of powdered natural stone and melamine resin – hence the name “Spray stone.” Besides the deceptively natural stone look and feel, other advantages are its low weight and the much lower price than natural stone.

Ceramics garden furniture care tips:

Cleaning:

Ceramics are very easy to clean and care for. Mild cleaning with a damp cloth and a little detergent is sufficient. Please do not use aggressive scouring agents, which can damage the ceramic surface.

Storage:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover or protected in the basement, garage, or tool shed.

Care:

Ceramics do not require any special care. However, if you have hard water, you can add a little lemon juice or vinegar to the cleaning water from time to time to bring back the well-known ceramic shine.

Ceramics have been an integral part of our daily lives for many years and, as an all-around material, consist of clay minerals, kaolin, and feldspar. These substances are fused at very high temperatures and then become ceramic, a natural, durable material ideal for garden furniture. Other advantages of this material are the increased stability, smooth surface, which can be easily cleaned, and extreme weather resistance.

HPL garden furniture care tips:

HPL outdoor furniture care tips

Cleaning:

A mild cleaning solution with a cloth is sufficient. Please do not use scouring agents or cleaning agents with abrasive components, as these will damage the surface.

Storage:

Optimal in the outdoor area under a breathable cover. Ensure that the HPL tabletop is not damaged. Otherwise, it can swell up due to water entering.

HPL stands for High-Pressure Laminate, i.e., laminate pressed under heat and high pressure. For this purpose, layers of paper are soaked in melanin resin and then pressed under the influence of heat and pressure. The resin hardens the material and turns it into a stable and robust tabletop. This is frost-proof, scratch-resistant, and heat-resistant up to a temperature of around 180°C.
